The Transformed Light.
“For thirty years, I practiced the art of listening to the light — capturing the unseen thermal energy of the world through the silver of infrared film.
Then came a very long season of archival silence. I locked the darkroom door and stepped into the shadows to protect what was sacred, keeping my vision sealed while I navigated the storms of a visible world defined by fear. But even in the deepest freeze, the energy remains.
My son Rocco’s passing transformed me, his life became the final, guiding spark that called me back to my work with infrared light. I realized then that I could no longer simply stand by. I was once a witness to the light, but now I am becoming it.
In this new vaulted space, the silence has ended. The door is open, the negatives are breathing again, and the thaw has begun.
If this is the light I see now, imagine what they will discover in my work a hundred years from now.”
